“Sew ‘n Sews” Sewing Group

This group meets to design and sew clothing to donate to Crisis Assistance Ministry. They welcome donations of fabric, trim, thread, buttons and other sewing supplies.
Wednesday Morning Devotions

This group meets each Wednesday morning for a brief coffee and social time followed by devotions in the Sanctuary led by volunteers.

Books: The Irony of American History by Reinhold Niebuhr (Fall) and Commentary on Hebrews by Dr. Thomas Long (Spring)

Church Parlor
This class affords an opportunity for honest exploration of faith. With the aid of selected readings, members reflect on the presence and activity of God in human life and all creation, and upon human response to God’s goodness. The class operates with little formal structure, encourages questions and discussion and seeks to provide a context for personal and communal spiritual growth. New members are always welcome!
Weekday School and Stay-at-Home Mom’s Study Group

This class will center discussion on Don Grigg’s study of the New Testament.
Wednesday Evening Prayer Service
Moderators: Dr. Adelia Kelso, Reverend Mullis, Reverend Horne and volunteer liturgists
5:30 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
Sanctuary
This focus of this service will be prayers, both spoken and silent. Prayers will be offered for those affected by civil strife, accidents, sickness, hunger and other privations, and natural disasters. On a rotating basis, every member of the congregation will be prayed for with Thanksgiving. The service will also include scripture readings, time for mediation and hymn singing. If you are willing to serve as liturgist, please contact Jane Arant.

Book: A Chorus of Witnesses edited by Dr. Thomas Long and Dr. Cornelius Plantinga

This group reads together and discusses books and articles on a wide range of topics, from Bible studies to history, literature, ethics and contemporary theological issues. Members bring a wide range of interests and personal experiences into the lively discussions. New members are always welcome!
